HAVE QUESTIONS? WE HAVE ANSWERS

IF you’re wondering about our approach or how to prepare for your Hot Yoga, Pilates, HIIT, or Barre class, read below.
Chances are we have it covered!

WhaT IS the best class for a new student?

  • The Basic Yoga class is a great place to start if you want to ease your way in. The room is warm, the postures are gentle and class is shorter.

  • 26&2 Hot Yoga class is a bit more intense, and there’s more heat, but all the postures are safe for new students and there is plenty of time to build a solid foundation.

  • Hot Pilates class is an intense workout, but it’s low-impact and you can go at your own pace while building core strength.

What should I wear?

Wear clothes that you feel comfortable sweating in and that allow for a wide range of movement.

What should I bring?

You must bring your own mat & towel to practice. Water is encouraged!

Pro tip: Please arrive 10-15 minutes before your first class starts so we can show you around.

We do not allow people to enter class once it has started.

What's the deal with the heat?

Heat helps to limber up your muscles, allowing for deeper stretching. It also helps detoxify the body, thin the blood to improve circulation, increase heart rate for a better cardiovascular workout, improve strength by putting muscle tissue in optimal state for reorganization, and reorganize lipids in the muscular structure. That means a hot pilates or hot yoga class will do much more for your body than a room temperature class.

Remember: you’re literally changing the construction of your body. It’s much like forging a samurai sword. It all starts with a piece of cold, rigid steel. When heated, the steel softens and becomes malleable, so it can be hammered into the proper shape. That’s what you’re doing in class! You are reshaping your body, your mind, and your life!

studio policies

1. ARRIVE EARLY Front doors to our studios open 15 minutes before class and are locked during class for the safety of our students and their belongings. Late entries will not be allowed in class.

2. STAY FOR THE ENTIRE CLASS Our classes are designed to work your entire body, building postures and exercises in a sequence. Final Savasana is where all the magic happens! Benefits of your class are maximized by relaxation. Allow yourself time to stay in savasana for a while after class to fully relax and soak up all the amazing mental and physical benefits. Only leave early if you must + make sure to inform your teacher ahead of time if you’re not planning to stay. Set up near the door and leave when it is least disruptive.

3. GROUP ENERGY It's your practice, make it your own by skipping a pose or modifying depth, but do your best to stay with the teacher’s instruction. Doing so has a noticeable impact on the energy of the class.

4. NO CELL PHONES IN CLASS — Do more things that make you unplug. We believe the hot rooms are a sacred space to relax and unwind. You're here to disconnect from the outside world and focus on going inward. *Please silence your SmartWatch too. Even better, take it off and truly disconnect. This time is for YOU!

5. DRINK PLENTY OF WATER Add electrolytes to prepare your body for the demands of hot class and sweating. We do have coconut water and electrolyte replenishers for purchase!

6. LISTEN TO YOUR BODY We recommend not eating 2 hours before you take class to avoid nausea and to allow the body to fully digest. You'll find what works best for you.

7. BE MINDFUL OF SCENTS — Many people are allergic and sensitive to strong perfumes and lotions, so please rinse off if you are wearing scented lotions or perfumes before class, and refrain from applying them in the studio after class.

8. PUDDLE POLICY — For the safety of others, please ensure to wipe up any large sweat puddles around your mat. If you do not have a large floor towel, you can ask for one at the front desk.

9. POST-CLASS — Please feel free to use the locker rooms and showers for 15 minutes after class. Your promptness is greatly appreciated.

10. WECOME TO THE #FOUNDRYFAM — Take your second class within 24 hours if possible to keep the momentum going.

We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining the studios as a welcoming and safe environment for all.
